HPS
(Hydroxypropyl starch ether)
This is a fine white powder produced through the chemical modification of natural starch, serving as a high-end additive specifically designed for dry-mix mortars. Even at very low dosage levels (typically just 0.02%–0.1%), it significantly enhances the mortar’s workability, slip resistance, and paste stability.
Four Key Functions:
1.Superior sag and slip resistance
2.Greatly improves application smoothness and reduces trowel drag
3.Optimizes paste suspension to prevent aggregate settlement
4.Synergistic water retention, extending the mortar’s open time
Main Application Areas:
Water-resistant putty for interior and exterior walls
High-end tile adhesives and large-format tile bonding agents
Adhesive and base-coat mortars for external thermal insulation systems (ETICS)
Gypsum-based plasters, self-leveling compounds, and jointing materials
Various premium thin-coat plasters and fine dry-mix mortars
